Jennifer Lopez and Brett Goldstein recently released their new movies at the Toronto International Film Festival TIFF in Canada last week. And here is the latest news: the two will be on the cast of Netflix’s new romantic comedy, Office Romance. Another report revealed that the Ted Lasso actor and Emmys winner Goldstein also wrote this rom-com with screenwriter Joe Kelly for Netflix.
As Deadline reported, Netflix can purchase the film that will star Jennifer Lopez and Brett Goldstein. In this project, both celebrities are executive producers, described as an ‘anti-romantic comedy’. This will be the first time Lopez and Goldstein are combined. Of course, the fans on social media were already applauding Goldstein for bringing into reality the film.
In the past, he categorized Lopez as a famous pin-up and now gets to work with her in Hustlers.
Jennifer Lopez has two prominent action films on Netflix: The Mother, which has more than 130 million views, and Atlas, which has 70 million views. It’s off-season for October 16.
Lopez debuted his sports drama Unstoppable, produced by Ben Affleck and Matt Damon, at the Canadian festival. Goldstein also penned and spearheaded a romantic drama called All of You, which co-starred Imogen Poots and premiered at the festival. The two films, Unstoppable and All of You, have been well-received by film critics.
The actress is going through a very messy and high-profile divorce with Affleck. However, they were seen taking their kids out recently. Lopez is also getting an Oscar talk in the musical Kiss of the Spider Woman with a script by Bill Condon.
The film has yet to be given a specific release date, but that looks set to be sometime in 2024. Amy Adams will reunite next with Goldstein on Kornél Mundruczó’s At the Sea, which also stars The White Lotus’ Murray Bartlett.
