As you may know, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt were one of the defining couples of modern Hollywood that recently split in 2016, and the problem continues. Although both celebrities have tried to stay mum on the cause and details of their divorce, Angelina has sometimes hinted at the reason that led to the breakup, claiming that she was acting as a mother when she decided to leave the marriage.
The couple began dating back in 2005 when they met while shooting the action-comedy ‘Mr and Mrs Smith’ where the two were involved as a married couple in spying on each other. Angelina and Brad shared the screen and later their bed as lovers, thus becoming one of Hollywood’s most publicized pairs. Jolie and Pitt have been photographed together in the limelight over the years and even worked in a number of films together, making everyone believe that they are a perfect couple. In 2014, the couple got engaged, and after a year of dating, they got married in a low-key ceremony in France at Chateau Miraval.
Nevertheless, their marriage only lasted for some time. In 2016, after only two years of their marriage, Angelina Jolie decided to divorce her husband, which came as a shock to everybody. Although fans continue to be interested to know about their separation, Jolie and Pitt continue to stay out of the limelight regarding their private lives and their families’ business.
It is during one of her interviews with the ‘Vogue India’ that Angelina gave some insight about her break up with Pitt. However, when asked what they have done to ensure only a ‘healthy environment’ for her six children after their separation, Jolie had this to say: “I separated for the well-being of the family, and it was the right thing to do.”
She also alluded to a few of the problems her family has faced as a result of publicity surrounding their split. Maddox Pax Thien Zahara Marley Shiloh Nouvel Knox Léon and Leon and Vivienne Marcheline, among her children, she claimed had to cope with falsehoods propagated by the media.
Both celebrities are still concentrating on their careers despite the ongoing legal dispute. Brad is getting ready for his part in the sports action drama ‘F1’, while Angelina Jolie is scheduled to play Maria Callas in the upcoming biographical drama ‘Maria.’
