‘The wedding is set’: NBA’s Brittney Griner, 22, announces engagement via Instagram on Monday, September 30, sharing photos of Ben Felter’s romantic rooftop terrace proposal at Paris’s five-star Shangri-La hotel. “Yes, in every lifetime ❤️🔀,” she raved in a post.
The two couples looked happy when taking photos after the engagement session with the Paris’ Eiffel Tower tower in the background – not to mention the actress showing off her new diamond. Indeed, she did not expect it if she looked as if she barely coped with Felter’s proposal. It came down to this, as reported by People: Felter proposed to Brink on Monday after the latter left the Balenciaga fashion show at Paris Fashion Week.
She did not know he was in Paris. He said he was required to be on the West Coast for business. They were together for three and a half years before meeting at Stanford University, where Brink was a collegiate basketball player, and Felter was a rower. Filter is a Stanford computer science graduate student with a researcher position at the Stanford Artificial Intelligence Library. Brink, who graduated from Stanford in the spring, plays for the Los Angeles Sparks as a power forward and is pretty fashionable off the basketball court.
She started the heat in April this year, wearing an elegant black and white Balmain gown for the 2024 WNBA Draft. That night, she was the second overall pick and was recruited by the Sparks’ team. She was captured on camera crying while wiping her eyes when accepting the new offer.
Filter is a proud soon-to-be basketball husband. In March, he shared a lovely message on Instagram for Brink on their anniversary celebration of three years together. “Three years together, a day to celebrate the soul that makes me whole,” he wrote in a caption with a red heart emoji.
