Helmed by Lily Amirpour, a filmmaker praised for A Girl Walks Home Alone at Night, the movie origin pays off well the tradition of erotic thrillers, psycho mystically charged and at the same time pleasantly tender.
The production A24, animated by the ideas of its directors demonstrated in heroin fights and massacres in gems, such as Uncut Gems or Midsommar, attempts to get into the depth of a story with elements of obsession, lust, and control.
