Nobuyo Oyama, the voice of the famous cartoon character Doraemon, died at 90. Other news articles claim that Oyama died from congestive heart failure on September 29, but the news of her death reached people on Friday, October 11.
To this date, the cause of her death has not been ascertained, but rumors from non-reliable sources suggest she died of natural causes. Originally named Nobuyo Yamashita, she entered show business in the early sixties. However, the voice acting of the animated character Doraemon in the anime series will remain before the entertainment industry.
Since 1979, she has voiced the character for more than 25 years, becoming the unique voice of a generation of people and a symbol of a happy childhood for millions.
