Christopher Nolan, the man who gave us ‘Inception,’ ‘Interstellar,’ and the ‘Dark Knight’ trilogy, among others, has also been working on a movie that won’t be a SCI-FI flick. The ‘Variety’ report states that director Christopher Nolan will likely make another espionage movie. As for the details about the movie, there’s still little known up to the present, but at least from this report, there is assurance that it will not be ‘The Prisoner,’ a spy-related project that Nolan has been working on with Universal Studio.

New was biographical drama “Oppenheimer,” which Nolan directed and released in 2023; the movie narrated the life of J. Robert Oppenheimer. Science fiction and action have been typical of Nolan for years. Where ‘Oppenheimer‘ is not a science fiction movie, most of his most famous movies, such as ‘Inception’ ‘And Interstellar’ are purely science fiction and offer ample essential science. That this will be quite a departure when it comes to the claims that his next film is ‘not science fiction itself’ must be an invigorating departure for him.

According to the reports, his next movie will feature Matt Damon, who was recently featured in both Oppenheimer and Interstellar by the director. Officially, it is unclear what this project might be concerning, so fans are still guessing about it. That will extend his efforts to make movies that are not necessarily science fiction anymore if he does it. His Tenet, released in 2020, was as much a science fiction as a spy film, but he could jettison the tag in subsequent films like Dunkirk, a Second World War drama, or Oppenheimer, a biopic.

There was also some spy-style show from Nolan before. He had a couple of turns discussing this in becoming the directing force behind a James Bond movie. But that never worked out because he wanted complete creative control over what would be a highly stylized spy film, something the franchise wasn’t interested in offering.

However, his other films prove he can easily do the kind of movie a spy thriller should be. His work is replete with complex storytelling and manipulation of time, which could be applied to an espionage film. Movies like ‘Memento,’ which are full of mystery and suspense, show how skillful Nolan can weave intricate stories- skills that translate well into any spy thriller.

Still, much uncertainty surrounds the future film of Nolan, yet one might guess that spies’ world exploration is likely to fit his current trends of career choices. His fans will surely get an exciting film, even if it does not involve the mind-bending science fiction for which he became famous.
