Kyle Chandler to Star Alongside Ben Affleck and Matt Damon in OTT Film RIP

Hollywood’s Kyle Chandler is to share the screen with Ben Affleck and Matt Damon in new OTT thriller, RIP. This is one of the most thrilling casting announcements this year. With the movie slated to premiere on one of the big streaming platforms, this is an ensemble of three of America’s A-listers who have worked their magic on some pretty powerful performances across genres.

Kyle Chandler Joining Hollywood Heavies

This has a star-studded cast, with Kyle Chandler of Friday Night Lights fame and some of his critically acclaimed performances in Bloodline and Manchester by the Sea. He will collaborate with Ben Affleck-Matt Damon, who have a feature that is singular in itself: Ben and Matt are both acting in the film and producing it through their production company, Artists Equity. The combination of these three stars has sent shockwaves through the street press, and no one is waiting to see if some kind of magic happens on screen between these three actors when they watch the movie.

Little is known of the story plot, but a dark, high-stakes thriller on loyalty, betrayal, and morality shall be the core of RIP. According to the report, Chandler shall feature in the story revolving around a team of former military operatives whose lives must change when these soldiers find a global security threat coming from untrustworthy organizations.

An Excellent Producer Team

Action-brothers Affleck and Damon are known for innovative collaborations like Good Will Hunting and The Last Duel. Now, they put their fine writing skills to the service of a thrilling crime-narrative even more gripping, rife with deceit. The last piece in the picture is that Affleck, too, will be behind the camera. The brothers’ production company, Artists Equity, has reportedly said it wants its pictures to give actors room to be creative as well as keep an eye on the fiscal aspects. This seems like quite the winning combination in Tinsel Town.

OTT Film Industry Growth

RIP arrives at the right time for the OTT landscape that only goes from strength to strength. The gates have opened to allow the premier platforms, such as Netflix, Amazon Prime, and Apple TV +, to become mainstream hubs for film releases. As the audiences growly demand content on the streaming services, so does the desire for star-studded films like RIP.

A Must- Watch for 2024

RIP is surely going to be a big hit, not only due to the outstanding cast of Chandler, Affleck, and Damon, but many more, prepped by the promising production. More details are being searched for by fans, and since production has been initiated, the film is due for release in 2024.
