Recently, one of the most active movie stars, Nicole Kidman, spoke to ELLE UK about why she is still so busy and what makes her that way. If you passed ‘Variety’ consisting of ‘Lioness The Season 2 premiere, you could have heard Kidman saying: “It’s not just love for acting. I enjoy being able to provide opportunities for other people, especially the new people who are coming in”.
The past year has seen Kidman highlight some of the highest-grossing films and TV programs of all time. She got her new films like ‘A Family Affair’ and ‘Babygirl’. She was on TV with ‘Expats,’ ‘The Perfect Couple,’ and ‘Lioness,’ which begins its second season on Paramount on October 27. She will also be in the second season of Hulu’s series Nine Perfect Strangers, the animated movie Spellbound, and a thriller in Holland, Michigan. She is also to feature in the Amazon series ‘Scarpetta,’ adapted from Patricia Cornwell’s mystery novels alongside Jamie Lee Curtis and Ariana DeBose.
Meanwhile, Kidman is far too occupied; she has already begun location hunting for a third season of ‘Big Little Lies’ and has a follow-up to ‘Practical Magic‘ in the works. When he is running these projects, Kidman also gets some sleep from time to time. In the interview, she claims to have spent nine hours in a sleep coma the night before the ‘Lioness premiere.’ But she agreed with the statement, and she also said that although she sometimes has thought of retiring, it is the thought of the people she can help that wakes her up in the morning. She says that she can do so in some way to create job opportunities for people in the industry, such as new directors and writers. Four of them are examples of such directing – one of them is Helena Reijn, the writer and director of ‘Babygirl,’ which Kidman was glad to support. That is why she stated that she could not only think about herself due to the fact that she is very much concerned about how she can assist people in her field.
The following is a result of her passion, where she expressed that she loves what she does: She really loves acting and therefore goes for everything she can. But she still understands that she can’t take a cold, the flu, or the flu to treat her body right. She giggled nonchalantly, and if she could have the powers to be in all places, she would love to do more projects. It originated from childhood interest. Kidman has said that she has always wanted to act, and from what she can see now, she gives it her all.
However, for all that hard work that is active during the daytime as well as at night, she is able to manage her career and family. If working is off time, she can spend all her time with her family, and such a woman is nowhere to be found in all those glamorous parties in Hollywood. She also gets to work for the first time in Scarpetta with Jamie Lee Curtis. She would find herself reminiscing about what a great thing it is that someone out there like Curtis is opting for a career at this season in her life.
Some of the castmates were very open about her. Jill Wagner spoke about watching Kidman perform as Bobby in ‘Lines’ and how Kidman personally recorded a video for Wagner’s mother, who was fighting cancer, but Wagner never asked for it. Another ‘Lioness’ co-star, Zoe Sa,ldaña, said that earlier she felt faint when she saw Kidman on the set but felt relieved when both exchanged details about their children and lives. Kidman’s commitment to the craft and her kindness are what make her stand out not only as an actress but also as a person who truly cares for others and is willing to reach out and make others’ lives worthwhile.
