Memoirs fans will be happy to know that Tom Hanks and Robin Wright have once more joined forces with the movie ‘Here’ directed by Robert Zemeckis. The film debuted at the AFI Fest in Los Angeles, Featuring Ripley & Zemeckis together for the first time Since ‘Forrest Gump’ in 1994. Both lead actors said getting back into the swing of things was straightforward.
In an interview with People magazine before the show, Hanks questioned the show’s feel by saying, “Everybody was [saying], ‘Oh, what was it like, the reunion?’ You know what it was? It was like,’ Hi, how are you?’”He said, “We just picked up right where we left off.” I will tell you that we are like each other because we don’t have to try to impress each other. The movie ‘Here’ adapted from the graphic novel by Richard McGuire, is stunning; it covers the whole area of several families and many generations to sum up the main aspects of human life.
Hanks underlined the fact that he got a chance to work with Wright again; ‘It was a luxury to be able to come in and get the same conversations We’ve been having for the last 30 years for 5 minutes after a moment of ‘Hey this kooky look do you believe this? Can you believe this? Specifically, she exclaimed, ‘Look at this, look at this,’” according to People magazine.
Directed and written by Bruce Willis under Miramax and ImageMovers ‘Here’ stars Paul Bettany, Kelly Reilly, and Michelle Dockery in lead roles. The script for the movie is penned by Zemeckis himself, as well as Eric Roth and ‘Forrest Gump ‘ with whom Hanks, Zemeckis, and Roth previously cooperated and garnered Oscars for Nobody Movie, which swept the Academy Awards and became the Best Picture of the Year.
