As per the latest reviews, the pillars of movie-making science fiction ‘Star Wars’ are all set to take their new con by creating a new trilogy with the writer and producer Simon Kinberg, famous for ‘X men movies.’ As reported by The Verge, besides Simon Kinberg, Kathleen Kennedy will be funding the trilogy.
According to the sources, the trilogy’s story is based on Skywalker. It also could be a brand new saga that has no relation to the other three Star Wars movies that the studios behind the iconic franchise revealed they had planned in 2023. As for now, there may be no official word about this, but such a new and fresh trilogy is welcomed by Star Wars fans even though the franchise has gone through a series of triumphs with movies, series, animation, and many more, such as The Acolyte, Ahsoka and more.
In addition, there has never been any new Star Wars movie released in cinemas since The Rise of Skywalker, which was released in 2019. The movie was welcomed by the audience with a mixed reception. However, the makers unveiled three Star Wars films last year, and James Mangold, Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy, and Dave Filoni would direct them.
Needless to be mentioned, Rey, whom Daisy Ridley portrays, is also expected to return in the Obaid-Chinoy-directed movie where she will be founding the new Jedi Order. As for the information regarding the new trilogy, fans are also waiting for ‘The Mandalorian & Grogu,’ scheduled to be released on May 22, 2026. Jon Favreau will write and executive produce a new episode of ‘The Mandalorian & Grogu.’
