The leading actors of the dream movie of the famous Broadway musical Wicked were shot on November 9, 2024, as The People reported. The event occurred at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion, Los Angeles – where performers from the original stage show and those appearing in the new movie met, a mixture of both generations. Jon M. Chu is to direct the film adaptation with Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo, the legendary divas.
This musical premiered in 2001, and Kristin Chenoweth and Idina Menzel first performed the roles of Glinda and Elphaba, respectively. The four women went to the event, and when they wanted to take photos to commemorate the event as a one-of-a-kind meet, it was a way of embracing the legacy that was made. As they struggle against an opponent external to them, a friendship grows between the two women.
