Lacey Chabert is undoubtedly one of Hallmark Channel’s female favorites and holiday sweethearts who fans love. She returns once more this year with a lineup of new holiday films promising warmth and joy, just like fans expect from her. Known for her roles in over 30 Hallmark movies, Chabert has become closely associated with the light-hearted, familial gatherings of romance and holiday cheer forwarded by the network. In the following interview, she continued to discuss recent projects and what keeps her inexorably tied to the holiday film genre.
I love everything about holiday movies,” Chabert said. “They’re about hope, love, and the magic of the season things we could all use a little more of.” Her new film, ‘A Merry Scottish Christmas’, premieres this December. Lindsay, played by Chabert, travels to Scotland for the holidays, where she discovers secrets and romance amidst picturesque snowy landscapes.
The movie is also executive produced by Chabert, something she has been doing more and more lately. “It has been incredibly rewarding to be involved behind the scenes,” Chabert said. “It lets me help shape the stories and bring even more authenticity to the characters.”
To Chabert, holiday movies are more than entertainment-they’re also the means of communication on a deeper level. “I hear from fans all the time about how these movies have become part of their family traditions,” she said. “That’s such an honor, and that’s why I pour my heart into every project.”Some critics might say, Well, holiday films are predictable. Not Chabert. “There’s comfort in knowing that things will work out in the end,” she said. “The holidays can be stressful, and these movies offer a sense of peace and joy. It’s like wrapping yourself in a cozy blanket.”
One of Chabert’s personal reasons for loving the genre is actually family traditions: “Growing up, Christmas was such a special time for us,” she said. “Now, being able to create stories that bring that same sense of magic to other families is a dream come true.”Lacey Chabert is so much of a holiday film season icon in her own right because of her signature charm and devotion, and that promise continues. Another holiday season will, no doubt, be filled with love, laughter, and holiday cheer, all delivered through those heartfelt performances that have made her the staple of the holiday season.
