An extra-legal battle between the ex-Hollywood couple has emerged as Jolie urges Pitt to dismiss the lawsuit against her over her attempt to sell her stake in the famous Chateau Miraval vineyard.
As stated in the report, it is a quarrel over the allegedly abusive behavior of Jolie, who sold her stakes in a French house. At the same time, the couple did not officially end their marriage but had an understanding that none of them would operate on their own in this regard. As a defense, Jolie’s legal representatives have insisted that she initially gave the shares to Pitt and that he placed restrictive conditions at the last minute, including an NDA that she refused to sign.
Angelina Jolie has asked the court to order Pitt to produce any records on the third party involving the crash of their firstborn child, Maddox, in 2016. This is because it is a plan to defend herself against the allegations made by Pitt that he was physically aggressive during the incident. Her lawyer, in the statement, added on Jolie’s willingness to seek peace, “While again asking Mr. Pitt to stop the violent threats and finally set the family free and rebuild it to health, unless Mr. Pitt withdraws the defamation lawsuit he filed against our client, Angelina has no other ‘option but to obtain the evidence that will help to dispel Mr. Pitt’s allegations.
Brad Pitt’s lawyers have file: responded to those assertions by terming Jolie’s request as a ‘sensual fishing expedition into Pitt’s life. They have claimed that the essence of the legal dispute is commercial, as far as the winery is concerned, and should not extend to include family law issues. The legal battle was ongoing after Jolie filed for divorce in September of 2016 after two years of their union. The once glamorous couple had their marriage dissolve through tortuous custody issues and are now back in court, struggling over the financial aspects of their matrimony.
According to the report, the Chateau Miraval saga also includes a countersuit initiated by Jolie’s former company, Nouvel, which accused Pitt of attempting to seize control of the winery and its assets for personal gain post-divorce.
