When ‘It Ends With Us’ started and came out, it made many headlines, but few were not for the right reasons. During the promotions, Blake Lively faced criticism for allegedly overshadowing the movie’s central message. This created a negative image of the actress in the industry and the media.
However, the latest reports suggest that Blake Lively is all geared up to change the very image and doesn’t want to be labeled as the ‘Villain’ anymore. This revelation came out ahead of ‘Simple Favor 2’ filming when a source told Life & Style, “Blake has now had the biggest direct hit of her career with It Ends With Us, but she’s not going to let herself be permanently painted as the villain every project she does going forward. She is pushing back against that strongly and making sure her real allies know how much they are valued.”
Notably, Blake Lively is preparing to shoot ‘A Simple Favor 2’ with Anna Kendrick; however, many earlier believed these two stars would not unite for the sequel. Anna and Blake were reportedly not on good terms when the first part came out. Reports even said that the two stopped talking.
However, the source quotes Blake and Anna as having buried the hatch. The insider added that any past conflict with any of her co-stars will not stop her from doing a project that benefits her career. This covers the follow-up to It Ends with Us. Sony hopes Blake and Justin Baldoni can compromise so that the It Ends with Us sequel can begin production within the next 18 months.
They’re doing everything they can to make that happen while respecting Justin and Blake for the job they’ve already done. IEWU is all about money, and it always has been,” added the source. Nevertheless, it’s unclear if Justin has overcome their complicated relationship. While speaking to Entertainment Tonight, he mentioned that he believed there were more suitable people for the project, and Blake would be a great choice to direct the film.
