The two weekends-April 12-14 and April 19-21 at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California-will definitely host a showstopper when it comes to the 2024 Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival. Firstly, fantastic reunions, fresh faces, and monumental headliners are all set to impress fans. It promises audiences a fine mix of the sounds to be performed.
This year’s headliner will boast ‘Lana Del Rey’, ‘Tyler, the Creator’, ‘Doja Cat’, and the long-awaited reunion of ‘No Doubt’. No Doubt were coming back in a big way, as they have not played together since 2015, and fans of ’90s ska punk are particularly excited.
Promising day-by-day performances are:
Here’s the lineup: – ‘Friday’, to be fronted by headliner Lana Del Rey, will also feature Peso Pluma, Lil Uzi Vert, and the electronic duo from France-Justice. – ‘Saturday’s prime act’ will be Tyler, the Creator, plus Blur, Grimes, and Ice Spice. – Closing out the festival is Doja Cat as headliner; opening acts scheduled for ‘Sunday’ include J Balvin, Jhené Aiko, and Reneé Rapp.
Apart from these headliners, notable acts also include Sabrina Carpenter, Suki Waterhouse, Skepta, and Sublime with James – who will have frontman Bradley Nowell’s son, Jakob, as the vocalist, doing his bit in the family business.
As has been the case every year since its inception and last year too, Coachella will stream live on YouTube, so musically inclined people will get to see all the action. Apart from streaming it online, the festival offers ticket holders from previous years the early bird facility to buy. General sale tickets can be bought starting January 19.
There’s been Frank Ocean controversy and pulling out of a performing performance for the second weekend, filled instead by Blink-182 and an EDM trio. The three-day lineup has been carefully planned to hopefully not go like last year’s, and a great musical experience is promised.
