Jennifer Lawrence Dismisses Plastic Surgery Rumors: ‘I’m Simply Aging Gracefully’

Jennifer Lawrence, winner of a number of Academy Awards, recently set aside the numerous rumors spreading about her appearance in an interview. She categorically denied all accusations that she had undergone plastic surgery. The 33-year-old star, popular for her work in the hit movie franchise The Hunger Games, said she is embracing natural aging and at no point had the urge to change her looks through cosmetic procedures.

“I haven’t had any work done. People love to speculate about that, but I’m just aging,” Lawrence said about the ever-spinning rumors swirling about her, which have grown more intense the last few years. With being one of the most storied stars in Hollywood, Lawrence is no stranger to scrutiny over her looks, with many experts claiming that her changing appearance could only be due to plastic surgery: botox, fillers, the whole nine yards. Lawrence, however, refuses to let up on the perspective that her new look has been achieved within the natural parameters.

Lawrence answers all the questions facing her frustration of women always being under heavy pressure, especially in the entertainment industry, about their younger years. “The pressure to look perfect is something all women feel, but it’s amplified in Hollywood. I think we need to normalize aging and understand that beauty changes over time.”

The actress has also pointed out the kind of very cruel and unfair standards that the beauty standards impose on female celebrities. She said, “I have seen how people react to the slightest change in a woman’s look. It’s like they’re waiting for an excuse to accuse you of something, but the truth is, we all age, and that is part of life.”

She faced the sensationalism with only a laugh but continued to maintain her lifestyle of healthy living and showed off her skin. “I’m always someone who believes in being comfortable in my own skin. I eat well, I work out when I can, and I take care of myself. But I don’t obsess over wrinkles or lines. They’re going to come, and that’s okay.”

Lawrence’s candid words have both fans and fellow celebrities cheering, as she continues to be one of the normal people in the showbiz world where image sometimes conquers substance. As the actress continues to age within public view while still vocal for self-acceptance and authenticity, reminding everyone that beauty lies beyond age or being perfect, it is indeed confidence and self-love that hold the key.
