JetBlue Airways has recently attracted a lot of attention, however, it is safe to say that it is not the type of attention that the airline would like to get. One of its most loyal customers, Actress Jessica Chastain, has been engaged in a nasty social media argument with the famous airline about who knows how long.
It all kicked off when the actress who is active on Twitter decided to tweet about her horrible experience that she had when jet blasting with JetBlue. In her tweets, the actress described how disappointed she was because of the delayed flights, covid-19, and awful customer service. “I returned to JetBlue only to Deserve it,” Mr. Chastain in a tweet sent out. “All I got were excuses and the bloody irritating delays. You should improve.”
Her complaints soon went viral and many of her fans retweeted or commented on her posts in support of her and against the posts made by business entities opposing her complaints. Many have said that they also encountered problems and thus a storm of indignation arose against the airline.
Recognizing that JetBlue keeps its clients at the heart of their operations, the airline made a swift move to try to fix things. The airline’s social media team was engaging with Chastain’s tweets and assuring her and others that indeed they were sorry for the occurrence and they were investigating the issue. They also said, “For that, we are sorry, Jessica. I understand why you feel that this is an issue that needs to be resolved, and we will make sure it is dealt with.”
Yet, tussles were still staged. And Chastain, who is known for not backing down, did so again, highlighting her disappointment at the lack of information and urgency of the responses. “It’s not the apologies that matter,” she wrote. “It’s the doing that is most critical; that is if indeed there was something that was done at all such that one habitually does not wait until something negative happens.”
Since then, people have been looking at the social media issue, as it was evident that the situation has not been resolved efficiently by JetBlue. While some fans were quite understanding about the airline’s position, others were quite nasty on how it dealt with the issue.
Even though JetBlue has constantly made media statements seeking for Chastain’s fans attention; Chastain’s dispute has been kept alive on social media while both JetBlue and Jessica Chastain have been updating their social sites and their fans are waiting to hear the next episode.
