Kate Winslet Praises Photographer Lee Miller’s Resilience: ‘She Faced So Many Challenges’

As a war reporter for Vogue during the Second World War, she operated at the edge of perilous frontline spaces, where she covered the liberation of Holocaust camps and the aftermath of war in Europe.

Winslet praised the timeliness of Miller’s struggle, even today, in industries such as film and photography. “In her lifetime, the impact of her work was not fully comprehended, and despite the stereotypes, she fought all,” Winslet added. “But she was not defeated at any point.”
