Lil Pump Criticizes Taylor Swift Weeks After Accusing Her of Promoting Votes for Kamala Harris

In one of the most controversial encounters with a celebrity of the year, not too long after calling her a ‘Harris supporter’ in one of the latest campaigns, rapper Lil Pump still decides to attack Taylor Swift. Known for frequently giving political opinions and talking about the American government in his songs, the ‘Gucci Gang’ rapper, however, could not hold himself back and bashed Swift over what he calls her inappropriate political engagement in show business.

This was the first fight that brewed. Living up to his reputation, Lil Pump in early September posted a story on Instagram accusing Swift of exploiting her post and urging fans to turn up to vote to promote the Democrat agenda, especially the Kamala Harris campaign. “She’s trying to brainwash… making people vote one way,” he revealed in more detail by accusation because he has an army of fans and has learnt how to move people that he believes most people can’t.

Now, just weeks after the controversy of attacking Lil Pump is resolved, the American rapper also says that morbidity about the fact that everyone is hypocritical all the time, yet ducks the stress of being attacked by the press as ‘fasts’”. In another diatribe against Taylor, the rapper argued that even though the artist wields substantial power and influence within the music industry, the same should not justify the glorification of soft-violence by a musician, for example, the influence of which she dares even to exercise on the people.

“In the post, Lil Pump mentions, “Taylor Swift has millions of fans and comes on stage as if she is some sort of a Politician.” Loosely quoting her, ‘she urges people to vote, but in some ways, it is apparent who she wants them to vote for.” It’s time for all of you to get up.”

Lil Pump is one of the few celebrities who has not responded to any of Swift’s recent rants. The Grammy winner has in the recent past become an active supporter of many democrat movements, even so, seeks the participation of her followers in ‘elections’ and in matters of social justice without naming names.

The confrontation between the two artists illustrates the problem of balance between degrading celebrity leverage against politics more seriously as the date of the upcoming 2024 US presidential elections nears. It is still uncertain if Swift would partake in that or keep the bullying ways it appears she is very capable of but refrains from, but the issue of artists’ responses to political issues is far from being resolved.”
