Mary Bonnet Reached Out to Christine Quinn Amid Divorce, Recalls Nearly Quitting ‘Selling Sunset’

“Selling Sunset” is a hot reality series documenting the glamorous LA world of luxury real estate and balancing the business and personal lives of its stars with equal drama. Recently, Mary Fitzgerald Bonnet let her guard down and shared with audiences a very personal and emotional time in her life-reaching out to her former co-star Christine Quinn as she was going through divorce. Bonnet has been one of the favorites on the show and has seen quite the rollercoaster that dips into her on- and off-screen journey.

Mary Bonnet gave an interview in which she explained that divorce was really tough, and besides ups and downs in their relations, she could not resist calling Quinn. She told that though they were no longer close, still earlier Quinn was a person in whom she had confided many emotional moments during the filming of Selling Sunset.

 A Surprise Reconciliation

This news may come as somewhat of a surprise to fans, since the two were primarily known for the drama that characterized their on-screen relationship due to professional rivalries and personal misunderstandings that often set them at odds with each other. Bonnet revealed that such a vulnerable time in her life, she needed someone who had equally gone through ups and downs both in the professional world and in relationships.

That unexpected outreach says much about the labyrinth of their friendship. As Bonnet recalled, Quinn was one of the few people who understood the intense pressures brought on both by working in real estate and being in the public eye.

Bonnet also dropped a bomb-she almost left “Selling Sunset” because of the stress of her divorce and how it was weighing on her emotionally. Adding that with the show being so demanding in itself, she just became so overwhelmed. She once thought that for her sanity and well-being, it would be better to step away from the limelight.

But she drew on her reserves and received encouragement from other show members to persevere. By showing her vulnerability, Bonnet has gained even more admiration from fans who continue to view her saga on the show.

This was a good example of the day-to-day tension that reality TV places on personalities and a fabulous reminder that behind those doors, they have problems in their personal lives to confront.
