Megan Thee Stallion had a 2000s pop star vibe at the 2024 MTV VMAs on Wednesday, September 11.
The 29-year-old “Mamushi” rapper was the night host at the UBS Arena in New York, and as soon as the show began, she paid tribute to Britney Spears by changing her outfit.
In the next scene, after a commercial break, Megan greeted the audience in a sexier, lightly green bikini top with a teal skirt whose strings were belted to metallic foiled shorts. Except for the head-turning pair of gold boots, she donned a yellow, real-life python around her neck in the same outfit, which was quite epic. Spears replicated the same outfit, including a python, during her performance of the song, ‘I’m a Slave 4 U’ at the same event in 2001.
For Megan, this idea was translated into the fact that she wasn’t attempting to take a calm attitude. She looked very nervous, her mouth open wide, and as she moved closer to the stage, it became very uncomfortable to watch her. “Okay!” she said. Before the show, Megan, who posed on the red carpet in a stunning strapless black dress with a black bodysuit and a black mesh skirt with lush folds, revealed to PEOPLE that she was thrilled to change her outfit several times during the show.
