Sean “Diddy” Combs, one of the best-known music tycoons, is now facing even more significant legal challenges as seven new cases accuse him of sexual abuse. His lawyers have responded to these allegations through attempts at seeking an order requiring his victims and their lawyers to sever any further communication with him.
New civil suits arose over the weekend; four males and three females were involved in preparing them. And that certainly reportedly includes misconduct in New York, Los Angeles, and Las Vegas, including incidents as far back as 2000 but mainly… 2022. It is learned that the legal team of Buzbee has sought multiple cases of damages for Combs’ victims, at least 13, and some of the other related lawsuits identify other unnamed celebrities who also was involved in the sexual assault. However, Combs, 54, has dismissed any wrongdoing in the charges preferred against him.
He has also not pleaded guilty to his criminal offense, where he has been accused of sex trafficking. As mentioned, Combs had already been held in Brooklyn jail for over a month after denying his bail twice. He has criticized his detention and is seeking to have it overturned. The lawsuits portray a grim scenario: Combs forcing the victims to perform sexual favors, paying them and threatening them into silence, and implicating his staff members in concealing the abuse. These legal problems augment the myriad of cases against Combs-he is currently answering over twenty civil suits claiming sexual assault. Among the new suits, there is one filed by a woman, whose identity remains concealed under the pseudonym Jane Doe, who accused Combs of raping her.
At the same time, she was unconscious after having been given a roofie-laced drink when she was only 13 years old at the 2000 MTV Video Music Awards after-party in New York. She said Combs raped her while another male celebrity officer did the same, and a female celebrity watched after the male celebrity told her, “You are ready to party!”
Another instance was a man whose name was listed as John Doe; he accused Combs of having intersexual contact with him when the latter was 17 years old in a Manhattan hotel penthouse in 2022. He said Combs told him of an intent to make him a star, and then he was allegedly beaten up.
More new claims increase the legal oppression of Combs since he continues not to agree to the charges and fight the criminal charges leveled against him. His lawyers wanted a suppression order to limit case discussions and declare that media coverage could influence legal trials. On the other hand, the accusers and their attorneys seek justice for a case and possible occurrences.
