Surprising Stars Who Haven’t Won an Emmy: Kristen Wiig, Ryan Gosling, and More

Among the sparkling expectations of TV is the Emmy Award, that very end. Behind that glistening glint, though, are some surprises from intriguingly talented stars who haven’t added an Emmy to their accolades yet. Here are a few surprising names: comedy legends and dramatic heavyweights who haven’t earned an Emmy yet.

Kristen Wiig

Perhaps best known for her work on “Saturday Night Live” where she was part of the show and helped define its early sensibility, and her lead role in “Bridesmaids,” Kristen Wiig has delightfully struck a chord with audiences using her unique style of humor and impressive range. She has been nominated several times, but this Emmy has continued to elude her. Often fans hold out hope that this comedic powerhouse will soon bring home the award.

Ryan Gosling

While much ado is made about Ryan Gosling’s performances in movies such as “La La Land” and “Blade Runner 2049,” little is said about his work on television. Though he has given some exceptional performances on television-the episodes that he did for “The Mickey Mouse Club” and “Remember the Titans” alone qualify him-he still hasn’t won an Emmy. Therefore, this omission only adds to the mystery of this whole thing.

Maya Rudolph

Another “SNL” album, Maya Rudolph has been stealing scenes for years with her work in various films and series. Brilliant shows in the likes of “The Good Place” and “Big Mouth” have earned her several nominations but no wins, however, for an Emmy to date. She has to be one of the best as she can blend humor and heart with surprising consistency.

Jennifer Aniston

Though she is causing a stir with her leading role as Rachel Green on “Friends,” which was recognized with an Emmy in 2002, Aniston has also emerged equally impressive after “Friends.” She received critical acclaim in performances in “The Morning Show” and “The Morning Show” but is yet to win another Emmy to prove that she is not washed up. After all, she has given so many potential Oscar speeches in an industry that forgets best heroes.

John C. Reilly

From “Step Brothers” to “Chicago,” John C. Reilly is a master of incredible dramatic and comedic talent. With such a large body of work and nominated and recognized by almost all the award-giving bodies, this versatile actor hasn’t won that prize: the Emmy.

These talented stars remind one that the Emmys are not always accurate. Their performances continue to be well-crafted, and fans eagerly await that day they will receive the right recognition for their exceptional contribution to television.
