T.I. has returned again into the spotlight, whether due to his passion for politics or because of his third wife, Tiny Harris, who is also an artist. This time, however, they are taking legal measures to pursue the sexual violence perpetrator and their accuser’s accountability. The celebrity couple, who have recently been fighting off sexual assault allegations, has sought the courts to make Peterson reimburse a large sum of her advanced other than her recently discontinued defamation suit.
‘The allegations first arose in 2021’ Peterson had claimed that T.I (Clifford Harris) zipped a gun at her, years back during one of their fights. The story soon turned into a wider one as several women came out accusing the couple of sexual abuse, drugging and other ills. While these stories were among the top leading hits in dailies and tabloids, the couple categorically refuted all allegations made against them and insisted that they were innocent all through the storm.
Peterson poured out her frustrations by picking on T.I and Tiny for libel claiming that after she voiced her views, the two tarnished her image. However in September 2023 the judge ruled in favor of the Harris family and dismissed Peterson’s defamation case against them. Now that the legal strife is over, they will be weighing their options on how to recoup their litigation costs from that suit, asking that Peterson be ordered to reimburse them for their attorneys’ fees.
They also contend these imputations were either pure fabrication or very damaging in a financial sense. Their position is that since the matter was without merit and therefore dismissed, Peterson should subsequently bear the costs that T.I. and Tiny incurred in defending themselves.
